A petrochemical and polymer manufacturing company, based on Teesside, UK, are looking for a year in industry student. They have a number of large-scale chemical plants and logistics operations on two sites, which are supported by chemical, mechanical and electrical / electronic engineers and operated and maintained by technicians.
Working within the engineering services organisation, one can expect to gain a broad experience of technical and work management aspects of being an engineer on a petrochemicals plant. This includes a knowledge of measurement and communications issues, from older technologies to cutting edge wireless capabilities, or pressure systems and rotating equipment, which operate at pressures up to 300 bar or temperatures between -200’C and +850’C. ________
